What is an inorganic chemical ?
Each chemical compound is distinguished by its chemical nature, its manufacturing process, and the use for which it is intended. One of the earliest distinctions in the chemical industry is made on the basis of so-called “organic” chemicals versus so-called “inorganic” chemicals.
The first is the chemistry of Carbon and its compounds, natural or synthetic, which may also consist of Hydrogen, Oxygen and/or Nitrogen atoms. Inorganic chemistry, on the other hand, concerns “mineral” products, however carbon molecules in their simple form are also, by convention, classified in the inorganic category (carbonates, bicarbonates…). Inorganic substances are a group of chemicals that contain no carbon bounded to hydrogen.
